Pubofemoral distances correlate to acetabular morphology and sonological instability in screening for hip dysplasia

New publication in The Bone and Joint Journal

This study documents that an easily performed ultrasound measurement of hip dysplasia in newborns' hips indirectly measure the same thing as the more difficult gold standard methods.

The growing question is: why bother with the cumbersome task of training health professionals in the difficult method if the easier method may suffice?
